With goals at the end, Bahia confirms classification in the Copa do Brasil;

Bahia is in the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil! Tricolor beat Criciúma 2-0 this Thursday (23) in the return game of the third phase of the competition. At the Heriberto Hülse stadium, the goals came at the end of the second half. Carlos de Pena opened the scoring in the 42nd minute and, in the 47th minute, Jean Lucas doubled the score.

Bahia also won the first game 1-0 and only needed a draw to advance to the round of 16. Therefore, the victory was more than enough and Rogério Ceni’s team ended the match with an aggregate score of 3-0.

The first half was quite busy, with chances created by both sides. Criciúma even scored, but Felipe Vizeu’s goal was disallowed for offside.

In the final stage, Criciúma went on the attack in search of a comeback, but was punished by Bahia’s counterattacks. Carlos de Pena opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, taking advantage of a good exchange of passes with Biel in the area. Shortly afterwards, Jean Lucas added a beautiful finish, declaring the classification of the Bahian team.
