Cruzeiro surpasses 70,000 members and targets “magic number” for more investments

Cruzeiro surpassed the mark of 70 thousand fan members on Friday night (26) and took another important step towards reaching the long-awaited “magic number” of subscribers on the “5 Estrelas” platform.

Since the time when Ronaldo Fenômeno was the owner of the club’s Sociedade Anônima de Futebol (SAF) , the goal was to reach the mark of one hundred thousand subscribers in the “Sócio 5 Estrelas” program.

The club is resuming the growth of its loyalty plan, also due to the “Pedrinho effect”. Since businessman Pedro Lourenço, owner of the Supermercados BH chain , took control of the SAF celeste, the number of subscribers has increased considerably.

On April 30th of this year, the first day after confirmation that Ronaldo Fenômeno had passed control of Cruzeiro’s SAF to Pedro Lourenço, Sócio 5 Estrelas had 46 thousand subscribers.

Eighty-seven days later, the club registered another 24 thousand subscribers, surpassing the barrier of 70 thousand member-fans.

Again with 70 thousand members

Cruzeiro had broken the 60,000 member barrier for the last time on October 13, 2022, ten months after Ronaldo became the majority member of SAF Cruzeiro.

At that time, the growth of the membership program was exponential. Before the first sale of SAF, Cruzeiro had only 10 thousand members registered in the loyalty program.

Main goal: 100,000 members

Cruzeiro’s SAF CEO, Alexandre Mattos, made an appeal to fans about the growth of the loyalty program. The director asked Cruzeiro fans to join the Sócio 5 Estrelas program again. The request was made at the launch event of the club’s new program, on June 27.

“Cruzeiro belongs to the fans, to paraphrase our leader, Pedro Lourenço. Cruzeiro belongs to the fans. Cruzeiro exists because of its fans. Its glories and achievements came with the unconditional support of its fans. Once again, we have this call. The biggest signing Cruzeiro has today is its goal of more than 100 thousand members,” said Alexandre Mattos.
