Endrick will start for the national team against Uruguay, confirms Dorival

Brazil  has defined Vini Júnior’s replacement for the game against Uruguay, this Saturday (6 )  , at 10 pm (Brasília time), at Allegiant Stadium, in Las Vegas, for the quarterfinals of the  Copa América . For the knockout game, Endrick will be the starter in place of the suspended striker.

“I hope we can continue to find the way to score goals. Provide the attackers with the opportunity to attack the opponent’s last line. We lost an important player, but we gained a player who has been emerging, looking for an opportunity. Who knows, maybe that will be Endrick ‘s moment ,” said Dorival in a press conference.

Vini has been booked twice and is out of the game . Dorival Júnior, the national team coach, had Gabriel Martinelli as his immediate reserve on the left wing. However, he opted to move Rodrygo to the side and put Endrick in as the starter, in the center of the attack.

Vini Jr has played three games in the Copa América and scored two goals. Endrick has not yet started in the tournament, but has been used in all three games.

So far, the revelation recently negotiated with Real Madrid-ESP, has played 34 minutes on the field. Endrick has yet to score in the tournament.
