On Monday (7), he even scored the team’s first goal in a summer friendly against Red Star. The number 11 was also a starter against Talleres, from Argentina, on Friday (5).

Since his name began to be linked to Flamengo, Claudinho has made clear his desire to play for the Rio de Janeiro club several times, but he has also not clashed with the Russian club.

Braz confirms

Marcos Braz, Flamengo’s vice-president of football, confirmed his interest in the midfielder. In contact with Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, the director spoke about the negotiation.

“We are evaluating the business and whenever there is an opportunity like this, we will try. The interest is valid,” said the director.

Other targets in the market

The opening of the second half of the year transfer window is approaching and, for now, Flamengo has not yet agreed on any reinforcements. The board’s moves, however, indicate a priority.

The club is evaluating the possibility of making an offer for Lucas Paquetá, who is in a delicate situation at West Ham, in England, due to allegations of involvement in sports betting.

Another midfielder that Flamengo is interested in is Marco Antônio, from Lazio. At 24 years old, the player is well regarded by the football department, which is negotiating a loan with the Italians.
