NBA: LeBron leads Lakers to victory against Nuggets; see results
With a great performance from the duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated, on Saturday night (27), the Denver Nuggets by 119 to 109 and reduced the opponent’s advantage by 3 to 1. Never before has a team managed to turn around after be losing the match 3-0.
“We played a great game, we managed to put pressure on them especially from the third quarter onwards and we are alive. To be able to advance, we will have to enter the next game even better. We have a long way to go,” said LeBron James.
The player scored 30 points and was one of the highlights of the match. Anthony Davis scored 25 points and contributed an impressive 23 rebounds, as well as six assists. On the other side, Jokic was the scorer with 33. Michael Porter Júnior also did well, scoring 27 points.
The teams return to the courts on Monday (29) for the fifth game of the series. In case of victory, the defending champion Denver Nuggets advance to the Western Conference semifinals.
Celtics win
One of the favorites for the title, the Boston Celtics returned to the lead in the series by defeating the Miami Heat 104-84 in Miami. Jayson Tatum led the triumph with 22 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Jaylen Brown also had a great performance, with 22 points and eight rebounds.
The Heat were once again missing two of their stars. Jimmy Butler was unable to play because of a knee problem. Terry Rozier has been experiencing neck pain and was also banned. Even so, he is still in the running. The Celtics lead 2-1.
Balanced duel
The Orlando Magic tied the series 2-2 by defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-89, highlighted by German Franz Wagner, who scored 34 points and 13 rebounds at the Kia Center. The home team didn’t give their rival the slightest chance this Saturday.
Oklahoma with its hands on the spot
Finally, the Oklahoma City Thunder took a 3-0 lead by beating the New Orleans Pelicans 106-85, with three players scoring more than 20 points: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (24), Josh Giddey (21) and Jaden Williams (21) .
