Roma presents offer for Wesley, but Corinthians asks for higher amount; see number
Roma, from Italy, presented an intention to buy striker Wesley, for 15 million euros (R$ 90.2 million), with more add-ons to increase the value. The Corinthians board , however, refused the offer and asked for a higher value to negotiate the athlete.
The black and white club signaled that it wants to sell Wesley for 25 million euros in total (R$ 150.4 million).
Wesley is a target for European clubs and could leave Corinthians in this transfer window. In April, West Ham, from England, even sent a director to Brazil to follow the player .
The 19-year-old striker has a contract with Corinthians until December 2027, with a release clause that protects the club from potential foreign harassment. The clause provides for the payment of 100 million euros (R$600 million) for breaking the contract.
A product of Parque São Jorge, Wesley made his professional debut in 2022. Since then, he has played 81 matches and scored seven goals.
