The  Flamengo striker had a photo leaked wearing a Corinthians shirt last week and was punished with the loss of shirt 10, in addition to a salary fine. Baixinho agreed with Fla’s stance.

“It is a very complex subject. I personally never wore it. I know Gabigol, we were together a few times, I have great respect for him”, she said.

However,  Romário  believes that the striker’s gesture was not intended to disrespect the club where he is an idol.

“I can say that this gesture was not disrespectful to Flamengo. It was for some reason, I still don’t know what it is, I’ll end up finding out because we have friends in common,” he said, adding:

“He knows the importance of Flamengo. He’s an intelligent guy, who wears the club’s shirt in many ways. We have to understand some situations before criticizing.”

Current president of América, Romário also analyzed the scenario from the point of view of Rodolfo Landim, red-black president.

“Let’s put ourselves in the shoes of Flamengo’s president. Gabigol is at América and wears the shirt of a team that wants to sign him, he would definitely be punished. But, on the other hand, I’m sure he didn’t do it disrespectfully”, he analyzed.
